Żabi Szczyt Wyżni

Location

Climbing with the guide on Żabi Szczyt Wyżni (2259 m) is surely a solid mountaineering outing, consisting of some elements of climbing and scrambling through the various rock formations.

From the top of the Żabi Szczyt Wyżni we can look into rarely visited valleys, hidden away from popular tourist paths.

Climbing and timing

The route goes along rock steps of Wyżni Białczański Żleb (gully) towards a small col Białczańska Przełęcz Wyżnia. Once the col is reached, the path eases and approaches Wyżnia Spadowa Przełączka (the only col in the whole Tatras, known to culminate with three ridges)

Last few meters to the top steepen but climbing is straightforward.

Climbing difficulties are never above I UIAA grade, but complicated topography of this mountain requires good knowledge of terrain, especially when the weather turns bad.

This outing is definitely aimed to the clients with a good fitness level, and with some previous experience in moving confidently in mixed mountain terrain. It usually takes 8-10 hours.

Safety and equipment

I assure rope protection all the way up and down the mountain. All necessary climbing gear (helmets, harnesses, rope, etc.) and in winter (avalanche ABC, ice axes and crampons) are provided by myself without any additional cost.

This offer is for two guests maximum. Price depends on the time of the year and the number of people. Please apply for more info.
