Climbing is not an easy sport – it requires effort and proper preparation in advance. Most importantly, you need physical fitness and basic climbing skills, which can easily be developed by training at an indoor climbing gym. While knowledge of basic knots and belaying techniques is not mandatory, it’s certainly beneficial and can be acquired through indoor climbing sessions.

WHAT DOES CLIMBING WITH AN IVBV MOUNTAIN GUIDE IN THE TATRAS AND THE ALPS LOOK LIKE?

The rock faces of the Tatras and the Alps have been extensively explored by climbers for many years. As a result, most walls are covered with dense network of routes varying in difficulty and rock quality. The so-called “classics” are definitely worth special attention for their excellent rock quality, moderate technical challenges, good protection, and often fascinating history.

In summer conditions, I guide on climbing routes in the Tatras including:
Zamarła Turnia, Wielicki Ząb, Lomnica, Kościelec, Granaty, Mnich, and many others.

In the Alps, the possibilities are even broader – from the limestone walls of Austria’s Wilder Kaiser to the red granite of the Aiguille Rouge massif towering over the Chamonix valley. I also invite you to summer granite climbing on walls that rise straight out of the glaciers around Mont Blanc, or to more exploratory and unforgettable routes in the Furka Pass region in the heart of Switzerland.

• The price for a guided climbing day in the Tatras starts from 2000 PLN.
• Climbing trips in the Alps, as well as the minimum number of days required, are arranged individually depending on the region.
• The price includes one or a maximum of two participants.
• Duration depends on the participants' fitness, conditions, and chosen route.
• All necessary climbing gear is included in the price.
• Proper insurance is mandatory for all mountain outings in Slovakia and the Alps.
